Fires twist light through the corridors, and Joruna blinks sweat that drips down her eyelash. Her pained grimace, curtained by her brashly cut bangs, wrinkles her skin. Her muscles tighten and strain beneath heavy armor. And she continues her march through the terrible dark.

A tomb, charred and blackened everywhere. “Five tombs,” she whispers beneath her breath, as she counts the stone and grim sarcophagi that survives the ash filled mausoleum.

? Is the next tomb that she opens trapped?

It’s hot in here, Joruna thinks to herself. Getting hotter, in fact. Too hot. I’d best get going, she thinks.

But it’s too late. Burmishing lava strikes a distant vase. She must run. Sprint. Find her way through thick ash and wade to the far exit. So, she runs.

@ Run through the difficult ash.

It strikes her. Painful and choking with brandishing pain, as lava pours out of the heavy tombs. Grunting in pain, and overall unexpecting, Joruna attempts to keep going.

Lady luck is on her side today — the ash is pushed away by the shifting, floating stone cases. Enough to clear a path, as the tectonic floors of the catacomb shift, to sprint through. An opportunity Joruna quickly takes.

? Does something come out of the moving stone? 
-> Yes -> Carefully Forlorn

Dusty, haggard, and something horrible to look at — an old, hungry looking woman heavily shifts the stone tomb that Joruna just passed open. She yelps, in a heavy guttural sound, “Drag me out of here! Drag me!”

? Does Joruna hesitate?

? Does it hurt?
-> Yes

Against all her will, Joruna grits her mashed down teeth — and turns around.

S4 Come Back

-> Yes

Her legs are exposing their bone and sinew — but Joruna runs and wades through the lava which eats at her calves, skin, and muscle. The cave ceilings glow bright hot-red, and Joruna’s decision is final.

She holds the woman in her arm. Collapses, then dies.

Reflections

Yes, I got bored of this scenario. No, I will not explain. Why? IDK — there are a lot of tables to roll on for the dungeon. Perhaps I should’ve given it a better try — oh well!
